    Hi everyone.
I had the chance to visit a small luthier expo here in Argentina and decided to share some pics and info about the basses exhibited.
I was pleaseantly surprised to know that most of the basses were under the $1000 mark (some were $600). Several of the woods used are mainly local or regional so I guess they`ve no equivalent English names.

The idea of custom bass has grown rapidly in me these days. :hyper:

Despite its Warwick-esqueish body design I find the first one (Alexander Guitars) GORGEOUS! how much was that one going for?

Those are some GREAT looking basses. I've seen some great work from some Argentinian luthiers in the past (can't seem to remember their names tho, probably some of the same...)

Interesting neck joint on the Pelayo-very close to duplicating neck-through feel by the look of it.

First of all, let me say that I`ve no commercial relationship with these builders. In fact, I`ve seen most of them for the first time in my life. I`m not advertising their products.

Several of them have no websites. I`ve got their mail addreses at home, so I`ll post them tonight.

BTW, I had the chance to play a couple of them and believe that they were at the same level that my Peavey Cirrus 4.
I`m GASing for one, but can`t justify adding another bass (already own 4).

That first one nailed the Warwick Fortress vibe!! The Facundo Soto #1 looks too much like a Yamaha RBX... :meh:

The Daniel Fernandez basses are great. I saw some other pix you posted ages ago and was very impressed. Pity he's so far away.....

I friend of mine told me that he was contacting someone in the US to distribute his basses, but never expected it was you !!!
In fact when I bought my Cirrus from Cameron MC I made the payment to lowend.net (and then he bought his Benavente 4).
