After 1547 days since I ordered it....here it is.
and just a few more.....
That looks aweosme, and probably even better after a five year wait! Congrats.
Any sound clips?!?!
Sorry no sound clips....that's a little beyond my technical ability . It certainly sounds like a typical ric with a little more lowend....it fits well with my 4003's that have Barts.
DId you really wait that long?
They're finally shipping those?
That's 4.312 years.
To buggery with that. To buggery.
Congrats, is that wait common with a custom ric?. All the best with it.
I ordered it 01/17/2001 (1547 days was my "on the fly math" and should be within a day or two....I got it 05/11/2005).
They have been shipping them for some time. There have just been alot of delays and breaks in production. My certificate says that I have #21 out of 60 but there is conflicting information as to whether those are issued random numbers or if they are in order.
Rickenbacker is known to have long waits for orders but it is usually 6 months to just over a year. The main issue with the LK's was that the carver quit so they had to find a replacement. Plus there were a few problems with some new production lines which just put the LK's on the back burner. I am certainly not happy about waiting so long but I have it now and that is all that matters (to me anyway).....
It looks great. But.. 1547 days?
that's a long time, but hell, what a bass
WOW...Man that bass is beautiful I like the strap you have for it too.
Wow...I thought the three month wait for my Warwick was long...
WOW! That's uhh.. wow.
I'm not sure I could have waited that long.
I had a hard enough time waiting 8 months for my Chapman Stick.
LoL a Ricken-late-r
Daaaayyyummm. I'd heard about the long waits for these. Glad to see you've got yours!
THose are amazing basses. All that carving...wow. Did you get any break on price, or any kind of reward for waiting through all their problems?
