    Well, here she is.

I brought her to rehearsal on Monday, Tuesday & Wenesday & the bass totally exceeded my expectations. I expected to play the bass & eventually change the pre-amp to a NYC pre (because IMO, I still like the USA pre better) but it dit it's job & it did it well!!!!!

The bass was alittle warmer sounding then either of my 3 NYC Sadowsky's & because of this, I didn't think it would fit well in my 3 bands settings but it rocked in every band.

The bass (10 1/2lbs) is alittle heavier then my Blue V4 (my heaviest NYC bass) & it bothered my shoulder on Mon nite but on Tues & wed, it didn't & today my shoulder is fine.

As of now, I think this will be my main gigging bass with my Red Valenti 70's Jazz as a back up. I'll have the great sound of a Sadowsky bass with out having to worry about bringing a $3000+ bass to a crappy bar in a horrible neighborhood.

The only thing that bothers me (visually) is the BAdAss V bridge. It's about twice the size of a BasAss II & looks TREMENDOUS on the bass. But it sounds SOOOOO good!!!!

VERY nice looking bass. Simple, but elegant. Just what a Jazz should look like, IMO.

Very nice talking to you yesterday, I now have a most difficult decison, RJ5 black with blocks and binding or sunburst like yours. That bass looks so much like the one used in the sadowsky advertisment for the vintage 5. I hope it works well for you.

On the contrary, the preamp was alot better in the band situation than I expected, which ias why I deceied against installing a NYC preamp in it.

But I still like the NYC preamp better. :)
