    I don't remember the model name... :p

5 string... Maple neck, rose wood fretboard, etc...

    EMG-SSD pick ups...

Amazing fret work.... Better than any I've seen on ANY bass... and I was expecting a trip to the repair shop. :p

The neck pocket is really tight.. you couldn't fit a peice of paper in there...

So to change the battery you need to have a screwdriver with you?:(

I came setup quite nicely... it is a little high, but not to high...

The spacing is what is really great. i have had no trouble slapping on it... i got used to it within a minute. Its a fairly fast neck...

The sound... its a good sound. Nothing special about it... But I haven't had time to really mess with it. It cuts through nicely.. I was stacking music stands in jazz band, and the 1st bass player was playing it, and it was cutting through beautifully. I would highly reccomend it as a step up bass, back up bass, or just for someone who wants a decent 5 and doesnt want to spend an arm and a leg.

Did i mention the nice tight b string?

    It's passive.

  13. Those of you complaining about having to take off the back plate to change the battery take note:

I own a Zon 4/2 and you have to take off the back plate for that bass also. And that's not a low end bass by any means.

It is passive... I might bet bored one day and put a active preamp in it....

  15. Ive got a spector performance series 4 string..it would be interesting to compare these basses becasue mine is the cheapest of the spectors...the only real difference i can see from those photos are thje controls ive got vol/tone for each pickup

From what I have played, the spectors are superior instruments. Even in the same price range.

  17. very cool bass. as i said before, that looks better than the real spectors to me :)
