I've been looking at having a hollowbody bass built with a piezo and single magnetic PU. I'm wondering what would be more accurate sonically; wiring a mast volume and pan or two volumes.

It is my understanding the impedance is vastly different between a piezo and a magnetic pickup. So, would they need their own preamps as well?

I've looked at the MM Stingray wiring schematics on the EB website and they have a blend and three band EQ. It doesn't tell me what else might be included in the wiring. (ie. caps) Does anyone have any piezo/mag. PU wiring schematics they would be willing to share?
