Piezo direct to the PA?

    I have a fretless with a piezo pickup and a fishman preamp. When I bought the bass, I was told that I should run the piezo system direct to the PA desk, and the magnetic system to the bassamp for the best sound. (The bass has two jack outputs, one for each system)
    Is this correct? If so, why and how?

    Probably something to do with the piezo giving a cleaner signal to the deck than the magbetic system. To be honest it probably doesn't make too much difference. :cool:
