Piezos + Magnetics: what's your preferred routing? Eq the piezo, or not?

    I'm considering adding some piezo saddles to one of my basses, and am wondering what's your preferred routing of the piezo signal: before, or after the magnetic pickups have been EQ'd?

    I'll be running the piezos into an East MPM-01 buffer/blend, and have a dedicated tone-control for the piezo (+ piezo/magnetic blend). As I can see it, there are two routing options:

    Piezo ->MPM, and Magnetic ->MPM, then the blend of piezo/magnetic to the pre-amp (Aguilar OBP3), then to output.

    Alternatively, I can do:

    Magnetic -> OBP3 -> MPM/Blend ->output.

    One way, both the piezo + magnetic get EQ'd by the Aguilar; the other way only the magnetics get EQ'd, and the piezo only has a tone-control.

    What's the conventional wisdom on this wiring - is it better to leave the piezo's un-EQ'd?

    Suggestions/either way appreciated :)
