I loved the tone of the original Mothership, but the tracking was eh.

The tracking on this new pedal claims to be best in class, looking forward to any reports. Any test this new guy yet or order one? I remember delicious tone from the original, looking forward to trying the new one at a better price, better features, better size and better tracking!

The guitar demo online shows that at least with guitar it tracks super well. Here's hoping for a bass demo soon.

I certainly like the form factor better... I'm interested in this one too.

Seriously. That they reduced the size by more than half is enough to make me want to put one through its' paces, though I doubt I'd have any practical use for it whatsoever! Plus I'm saving for a Future Impact. Still....

Had a v1 - the sub and ring mod sections were amazing. I didn't care for the note attack of the oscillator though, so I usually turned it off.

  10. I just ordered one off Reverb, but haven't seen it in stock anywhere else yet.
They say it's been shipped so I hope to get it later this week.
    I'm quivering with anticipation!

Regarding tracking - there are multiple runs of the Mothership 1 with latter versions having improved bass tracking. I had a first run v1 which Pigtronix modded to latter run specs (I think it was input caps?). The upgrade improved tracking noticeably, though I later found that some high note tracking was a little off pitch (maybe a quarter tone sharp). No idea if this was some weird harmonic or resonance from the bass, a problem with unit or design or a flaw introduced by the mod.

A band mate just got one... I’ll be able to check it out in a rehearsal a couple of days from now.

I am an EHX guy to the end of the earth, and I already have a HOG2 that will never leave my board.

But hearing the demos for this? I will be trying out the first chance I get, and the local music shop actually carries Pigtronix!

I bet there are a lot here that would like to hear that report

  20. My MS2 arrived and I've just had my first play with it.
I used my SRC6 neck pickup with the bass knob at max and mid+treble at min.
I plugged the bass -> MS2 -> amp without other pedals in the chain.

The first thing I have to say is that I won't be selling my Subterranea any time soon.

The MS2 has a much broader palette but is generally harder to tame.
I've had difficulty getting my Subterranea to track below about G1 (49Hz) but the MS2 doesn't even get that low.
Next round I'll use a strong compressor before the MS2 and see if that improves things.

I'm thinking the MS2 is probably more suitable for use with guitar than bass, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet.
I also won't be able to try it with an expression pedal until I return from my travels.

    Minor complaints :
    - The volume changes a lot when you flip the SYNC switch.
    - The sub output seems weak. I have it all the way up with the other level knobs much lower.
I'm just using a cheap guitar amp so maybe it doesn't have enough oomph, but even further up the neck there's not much sub. I tried both the regular output and the separate sub output.

This is my first attempt so maybe I just haven't figured it out yet.
It's also one of the first units out so it possibly has some teething pains.
I'll wait for a few other folks to report before deciding if I just have a duff unit.
