Pink Floyd using...a JAZZ BASS?

I was listening to the Wall by Pink Floyd last night when I noticed that the bass tone on "the Happiest Days of Our Lives" is undoubtedly a Jazz bass, not the Precision bass heard on every other Waters-era Floyd album.

I then watched the music video for Comfortably Numb, and just before the guitar solo, the bass cuts through really well for a few seconds.

This also sounds very much like a Jazz bass to me, which I found strange. I was wondering anybody knows what basses were used on the Wall. Suggestions?

Edit: Note that Gilmour played bass on both of the songs I mentioned, amongst many others on the album, so he may have been using his own gear.
