Always thought these basses were cool looking! Didnt they make a green or yellow paisley too? You could make the club for paisly P basses instead of just pink.
That is beautiful. Drop dead gorgeous. Sadly I cannot belong to this club, yet. Anyone who gives you grief just does not have the balls to strap one on. Signed, A Hetero Male
I think paisley is an awesome design, i'm a HUGE fan of the pattern! I actually have never owned a Fender, but if I did it would have to be a Paisley. Keep rockin Paisley fans!
I gigged the blue flower one for about 4 years and sold it for some reason. Ended up buying this to replace it. It's a pretty aggressive growly tone for a pink bass. Always a fan of this style P though. I'm not one to mod much but I think this would benefit from a bridge that weighs more than 1/2 ounce. Just worry about the scars if I want to restore it to stock.
Ok, let's see Pink Paisley Precisions!!! They all look the same, so action shots are most appreciated.
Cool idea, I'll play. Here's mine. I've only owned it for a few months but it goes to every gig. It's got an Seymour Duncan (basslines) SCPB-3 pickup in it. I use it for ZZ and Zep stuff mostly.
I'm in. These are really great basses. {} I also have the blue flower one as well; it is stock with flatwounds, while the paisley has a Seymour Duncan SCB3, a Baddass III with rounds. They sound very different, the blue one nails old school (especially with the tone rolled off with a pick and palm muting), but the paisley totally rocks. It is one of my favorite basses. Moonshine
moonshinegtrs #4! Keep 'em coming. Man I wish I never got rid of the Blue Flower bass. I've got half-wounds on mine. Just happened to get them from a rep. They lead to me putting DR Flats on my ASAT.
Ok, I'm thinking to put a pickup cover, because I worry that I will harm the pickup. What's your opinion on that?
Love the look but it gets in my way. I have been meaning to buy an ashtray for it though. I have a rusty one that just doesn't look right. Edit. Oh you mean just over the pickup? Not sure. I managed to pull the pickup apart on my blue flower bass because I was using it as my thumb rest for 100 or so gigs. I wouldn't worry about damaging it though.
I used to have one. Sold it a few years ago when I was going through a divorce. Damn, I miss that bass.
