I just discovered the brilliance of Pino on the Amazing John Mayer Trio recordings. Can anyone tell me some classic recording with Pino so I get a better scope of his playing? I have heard he is a fretless monster but don't know where to find his playing. Thanks!!!

Pino did AMAZING fretless playing on

Paul Young - "the secret of association" 1985 CBS

some songs are very dated now, others are cheesy but Pino's work is brilliant.

    Go West's debut album.

More Paul Young-"Come Back & Stay"
...and you're gonna want to hear "I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down"

"Sunset Grill" & "New York Minute"-Don Henley
    "Lady In Red"-Chris de Burgh
  6. Paul Young - I'm gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down using his fretless Musicman Stingray via a boss OC-2 octaver pedal (the section from 4:27 onwards has that great 1/16th note fadeout - cool stuff)

Paul Young - Wherever I Lay My Hat (Musicman Stingray fretless again via his old Roland Space Echo))

The Big Dish - Miss America (P-Bass)

Don Henley - New York Minute - Pedulla Buzz fretless (The Stingray was shipped back to England when he got the nod for the session)

D'Angelo live in Stockholm - Put Your Hands Together - (not sure if this is what the track is called, but it's cool stuff anyhow) - track 1 of 6

    D'Angelo live in Stockholm - Brown Sugar - track 2 of 6

D'Angelo live in Stockholm - Jones In My Bonz - track 3 of 6

    D'Angelo live in Stockholm - Chicken Grease - track 4 of 6

    D'Angelo live in Stockholm - Soul Deep - track 5 of 6

D'Angelo live in Stockholm - Sh**, Damn, Mutha****** - track 6 of 6

Phil Collins - Do You Remember?

Gary Numan - Music For Chameleons (awful vocals by Gary, but the bass lick is pretty cool anyhow!)
  7. Check out Pete Towshend's "White City" album, especially the track "Give Blood". Ferocious fretless work by Pino.

Also, the track "Stop on By" by Paul Young (featuring Chaka Khan!) is great, I think the album is called "Other Voices"

I've got most of it on record, but wanted to get it loaded into iTunes.

    Awesome stuff...
