If any one is interested, I have a brand new set of the Pirastro Pizzicatos. I had the G on for about a 5 minutes. PM me. I also still have a set of Animas that are barely used.

Were these free samples sent to you from Pirastro? Does the set come with both the metal and nylon wound G's?

No, I bought this set here in Chicago. I really thought I would like them, but the G which was the only string I put on was too thumpy sounding and not delicate sounding enough for what I was looking for. I might have ended up getting used to them and liking them eventually, but I decided to move on and just try and sell them. Since then, I think I have just decided that gut strings are just too expensive to deal with even trying to like them. I might end up back with solo Obligatos tuned down after all.

They are the all metal wrapped ones. No nylon on the G or D.
