Thinking back when I first wanted to play bass.
These tracks are among what influenced me to pick up the bass, of all instruments, as my main connection to music. These tracks are what personally made me want to pick up that long-headed string-limited instrument. They're equally why I don't prefer playing guitar. The guitar in these tracks absolutely enchants and mesmerizes me. But I "understand" the bass tracks much more intimately.
I'm not saying any of these tracks are the best in any category. I'm not saying that you should like them. They're just the tracks that, early in my own personal life, turned me on to the instrument that is the electric bass.
I'm curious what are your pivotal bass influences?
