Can anyone recommend me any PJ type basses apart from Fender's and Ibanez's that are under $450?

    Thanks.

Look for an old BB series Yamaha like the BB2000 or BB1500. I always thought they were some of the best made basses ever. They are pretty cheap used too.

G&L Tribute SB-2. Bassnw.com has a few left for $400. Great feel, super fast neck, and a great tone. I bought one, restrung with DR lowriders and am thoroughly impressed with the tone every time I play it. Great low end grind.

    Yea i recomend those too.

  7. Look at Fernandes. You should be able to find a used APB-100 on eBay within your price range. I believe that is the model that Rocco Prestia played.

Better still, wait for the new Conklin GT Rocco model:

    Good luck.

  8. anyone have a clue of when those Conklin GT Rocco prestia models will be available and a guess at the price. I really like the look of those.

  9. Don't know, but you could call Conklin and find out.

If you do, let me know......I'd like to try one of them bad boys out.
