I'm looking to build myself a p/j hybrid and I wanted to hear from the experts before I actually committed myself to anything.
The plan so far is to get a Warmoth p bass body with the bridge j pickup already routed, as well as the p pickup routed in the neck position. I was thinking Moses MJGF (jazz bass) graphite neck and a Nordstrand NPJ4 set. Schaller bridge and tuners.
Is this even possible? Will it more trouble than it's worth?
If anyone has any tips/suggestions/warnings, I'd greatly appreciate it. :help:

Everything should just bolt together assuming the Moses neck is a standard Fender style heal. Warmoth sells Schaller bridges, so they should even be able to pre drill the mounting holes for that.

The most difficult part should be spending the money on the parts :D

Any suggestions as far as wood types?

    Solid color or natural?

If solid color, go with what ever is the least expensive. If natural, go with whatever you think looks best. I don't put much stock in body woods effecting tone.
