I know this goes against what I have been preaching about Fenders but I gotta have a P-Bass. My buddy has a MIM P-Bass I played it the other day and now I need one. It felt great and sounded warm. I will admit of all the Fenders I owned in the past my gripes were always with Jazzes, I never came across a bad P, even the Mexi ones I had. So, I am going $400.00 more in hock to get a Polar White MIM P-Bass.

Yea I know, I am nuts! :hyper:
  2. Nah! P-Basses rock.

Why not just go for an SX?

So does it totally suck and you need an MIM above it? Or what?

They all come around sooner or later. The P-Bass formula is a winner, and a good example of how simple = good.

I just fell in love with my MIM P again yesterday. It just needs a setup and I'll love it even more. I'm debating whether to swap my SPB-2 for a -3. I'll start a thread in the pickups section. My P has the best neck I've ever felt on a bass (IMO - don't wanna get anyone fired up). Check my thread when I start it, i have some questions about the Quarter Pounder pups.

My Sterling is my main bass, but I will not deny the awesomeness that is my flatwound P. I love it more and more each day.

I thought he meant Plain OLP bass, like the Musicman copies

No It's quite good actually. The Fender has better hardware and pick-up. I guess I just want a Fender.

I also thought that's what he said. Or meant to say, anyway.
