    Hey,

I'm going to be getting some money soon (all perfectly legal...i did work all those hours). And i was planning on buying myself a new bass, i want to get a 5-string, i was wondering if anyone could recommend a good 5 string in the 700-1000 price range?

Something that sounds great, with decent playability.

    Thanks

Get to the music store and try as many as you can put your hands on.

I personally would take a hard look at the MTD Kingston and Lakland Skyline series, both are below the bottom end of your budget.

  3. Before you choose ANY bass, play it! What some people like you may not!

  6. Check out a Reverend 5. They start selling direct on March 15th, so check out their website ( www.reverendmusical.com ). I recently purchased a Rumblefish 4-string, and I love it!:) Get straplocks installed if/when you order.
