Plastic Nut vs. Bone Nut

    Buzzing i will think have nothing to do with the nut being from bone or plastic. I do not really care for what the nut is made of. All my basses have plastic nut ( Geddy jazz, 4003 Rick, CV60 p bass, Beatles bass), I'll will not bother switching to an other nut. Same if one of them was bone and did its job.

    No noticeable difference apart from the nice clean look of a well carved bone nut! And knowing you have a bone nut and not a vulgar piece of plastic.

    Tone wise you might be able to hear an extremely small variation in tone but only on the open strings!
    I dont think that variation would be big enough to be taken into account considering all the other variables you can take into account (strings freshness, room, your gui**** being on 11, etc..)
