Guys, a lot of us speak about Warmoth parts. These are high regarded here for quality, someone built basses with them and others dream about doing it.

Usually those Warmoth are Fender clones. This is correct since in my opinion the Fender bass is THE bass.

Now i would like to know the specs of a Warmoth bass you would like to build but without cloning Fender in shape and maybe some specs.

    here's mine.

LP style neck made in Wenge with wenge fretboard.

Walnut-Maple striped Mockingbird body (see attached file)
1 Seymour duncan MM style humbucker in the middle position (P style)
bypassable Aguilar 2 band onboard preamp.
    gold hardware

    yours?

Dinky P body, sorta like this one , but maybe a quilt top with green dye, with either EMG or Bart. soapbars, an angled Warmoth 2+2 neck similar to this one , Gotoh tuners, and some sort of quickloading bridge, like maybe a hipshot. Chrome or black hardware. Closest thing to a four-string Gecko I can think of.

I'd like to built one like this:

    <img src="http://www.warmoth.com/showcase/bodies/images/b441A.jpg">

    Alder body
    Black finish
    Maple/rosewood fretboard w/pearl blocks & binding.
My custom headstock (<a href="http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=115910&highlight=Valenti">CLICK HERE</a> to see it)
Some Kind of humcancelling J's (probably Sadowsky)
Some kind of 2 Band preamp (again... Sadowsky)
    Matching black headstock
    Chrome hardware

  6. Gecko 6-String

Body: Koa body with flamed koa top
    --Clearcoat finish
Neck: Wenge/Bubinga laminate neck with ebony fingerboard
Pickups: Dual EMG-45TW with single-coil/dual-coil switching
Preamp: John East U-Retro Deluxe (gold)
    Bridge: Hipshot Style A (gold)
    Tuners: Hipshot Ultralite (gold)

Crap, now you've got me dreaming about a six-string...

Tele headstock on top, reverse Tele 6 on the bottom. It's okay, Fender doesn't make something like this :p

Mine would be an ash body like the Tele Bass or G & L ASAT, with a Lane Poor musicman style pickup. Finish would be emerald green. 4 string.. Warmoth style neck/headstock.

    Hrmn.

    4 string-
    Alder LP body, black
Warmoth 2+2 headstock, maple/rosewood, matched headstock
Routed for two EMG 35P4s, one in the P position, one right behind it (literally, One large "pool" rout for both pickups)
Wired for an EMG BTC preamp for each pickup with a blend between the preamps (Warwick Masterman style)
    Neutrik locking output jack
    Schaller bridge
    Gotoh tuners
    Strung .120-.65, tuned CFBbEb

    It'd be rockin' like Dokken.

    NECK: Les Paul, Maple/Rosewood Fingerboard
    BRIDGE: Schaller
