I wouldn't spend your student loan on a bass. Look on ebay for a cheap one used. And get a job. ( a second one if you have to !)

Wait a little longer for the double buck Sterlings to arrive. It'll be worth it.

nah, don't need double buck, theres already so many tones you can get from a single.

got 2 jobs right now, its not so much the affording it part, its the guilt of spending $ part.
my jazz is fine for now while i'm not in a band

  6. yeah, I have a MM Sterling in Translucent Teal with a black pickguard and rosewood fretboard that I'm selling in order to pick up an old SVT most likely, it's going to kill me to see that bass go, it really is.

No, it's well known that the Sterling is an OTP.

  9. Arg, you're going to drag us into a hopelessly complicated mire of thread intertextualities and then we'll all die.

But it's a damn good trick! ANd you can really stretch out the sound with your technique....but regardless, there's no logical reason to NOT get a double buck...it's that same trick, plus a couple more :p

It makes the threads kind of like cousins in West Virginia.
