On a big band gig tonight!

That's right, I played with Uncle Will's dad on piano, on a big band gig in Laredo, Tx.

Oh, yeah - I guess I could've mentioned that. I was playing with the Dorsey Brother Orchestra (yeah, those Doresey Brother).

Not that they were on the gig :D

I played with Billy Gibbons' dad once. He was an old union pianist in Houston. I was playing flute at the time, and we were accompanying Lisa Hartman on some Houston cable show. Nice old guy, and all he could do was talk about how proud he was of Billy. I enjoyed hanging with him, as he was he was a pretty cool cat.
