Playstation 3 announcement: Price & Release date

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by Marcus, May 8, 2006.

  1. $499.99, and $599.99 on November 17th...

    Hum...

It also appears that Sony has taken the route Nintendo was hoping would pay for Wii's lunch by taking the idea of the controller that is motion aware/responsive.

Good thing my girlfriend is getting one. I already have an X-Box 360, and plan on picking up a Wii if the games are as innovative as the controller.

there are so many better things that can be bought with that kind of money.

im not putting half a grand in someones pocket so i can occupy myself for an hour or two a day.

No kidding. I mean, the video game industry is charging progressively more for progressively less. It's doomed to fail, I think.

  7. Forget PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 I've got a bass!

    and for my gaming needs....
    nes_pad. OOOOH YEAH!

  8. That can be applied to anything really though at that price and over...

In any event, I'm happy with the X-box 360. The Live component is flawless. I love all the content that's been provided thus far, and if this is any indication to the quality of stuff that's going to be delivered, I'm sold.

  9. I just bought a 360 and Oblivion - see you in a few months.

I must have an XBOX 360, ive wanted one for so long and my regular XBOX is breaking, and this is my second one. I guess its from playing so much GTA: San Andreas & Madden 06. However, now that I see Playstation has installed a hard drive in their systems like XBOX has, I think im gonna hold out and buy the 20GB PS3!

  11. Welcome to my life a few weeks ago! That game... is too much. For extra laughs, commit a crime, resist arrest, and run into the fighters guild and watch the guild porter whip some ass!

You ain't kiddin', that game's addicting. I can only play games about 4 hours a week and I've already put over 30 hours into Oblivion. I've barely scratched the surface of it too!

Between Oblivion and GRAW I'm set on the gaming front for months. :)

my bass was around 550, if i remember correctly, and i play atleast 2 hours a day.

but my point is, that something like playing instrument is not wasting time. it's actually doing something with your life.

good lord, that's a lot of money!

i think the days when people could afford to get two or three systems in each generation of consoles has ended. :(
