I would love some feedback( here or on my myspace) from some fellow bassists. I used a MIM fender jazz and a boss loop pedal for most of it. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=287822170
Loved the rubbery bass & crazy keyboard vibe of Oswego Funk, but the drums sounded kind of cheesy Nice bass everywhere else, but again the drums sound old & cheesy compared to good sampled drum machines/loops. It takes away from the nice bass work Love the crazy keyboard work through out
Thanx for the input, I agree but unfortunately I've never invested anything in a keyboard so I still have one from about 10-15 years ago. Anyway, Your song "When they cry" was really nice....I like the hybrid sorta thing you have going. Again thanks for the input.
I actually loved the retro Keyboard sounds, it's just the drum loops that sound dated. I can really picture you songs on a totally new level with great drum tracks. You can accept the keyboard because you use it in a crazy way, but the drums come off trying to be good drum parts, thus sound dated, as they are. If you used the drums in a more retro way they would come off better in my opinion, but I think your music is more of a foil for you nice bass playing, which I have no complaints of. Nice bass work & sound to me. Thanks about the comments on When They Cry.
