Because Photobucket has chosen to in effect "take down" everyone's photos (unless you pay them), we have extended post edit time in the Luthier's Corner to UNLIMITED.  If you used photobucket and happen to still have your images of builds, you can go back and fix as many of your posts as far back as you wish.

I just wanted a luthiers take on this 4 string project:
    1-maple body,jazzmaster(basically,i'm asking for a J-bass with wings removed)
2-short scale flat sawn maple neck (30")
    3-USB 2 headstock(just a large Fender type)
    4-J-bass nut width,and .900" C shape contour
    5-maple7 1/4 to 9 1/2"compound radius fretboard
    6-19 jumbo(dunlop 6000)frets plus a zero fret
    7-Sadowsky p/j pickups,passive(cream covers if removable)
8-two volume knobs with 250K pots(no tone knobs)
    9-Slip-Stone nut
    10-Sperzel locking tuners
    11-Hipshot Bass Tremolo bridge
-though i have stubby hands i went with a deeper neck contour because i have an arthritic thumb that locks up when i use it for support on the thinner Ric neck I'm accustomed.i'm figuring the tremolo bridge won't cause as much havoc on a shortscale.anyone know how tremolo effects flatwounds?
    Thanks for any comments.
