Please explain this symbol on this tab

    The "R". Naturally the tab site had no explanation what "R" means.

    Rest, eh? Thank you.

    The thing I don't get about tabs...

    Tabs were created for people who don't read music, I guess. But in some ways, it's harder than reading music.
     
  4. true, tabs usually don't make sense, just help at attempting to give you the notes, but not usually helpful with the actual rhythm
