Hello Tb, I have 2 songs posted on my myspace site, and I am trying to get them a bunch of hits. Here is the address: http://www.myspace.com/shawnmeteoriterecords I would really appreciate it if you guys and gals would listen to each song once (more if you like!). The songs are by Ellis Paul ( http://www.myspace.com/ellispaul) 3000 miles and Washington D.C. 5/91, and his manager gave me permission to record them as a demo for Ellis (I am a huge fan). They were recorded at the Moontower Recording in Somerville, ma, with engineer Mike Quinn (http://www.moontowerstudio.com/ ) . I recruited the guys (including vocals by Paul Janovitz (http://www.myspace.com/pauljanovitz , ex Cold Water Flat, he has one of my favorite voices ever), and basically produced the sessions. Anyway, please give a listen, I would really appreciate it, and if anyone happens to know Ellis, please pass these along. The first track is a fretted jazz (marcus miller, passive Jason Lollars, vol vol, no onboard active eq) and the second is a fretless warmoth jazz with a maple fingerboard, duncan p and j, both run through an Aguilar 2 band pre). Any comments and such are welcome, be nice! Thanks much shawn
Pretty good stuff, except the acoustic guitar. That's just a little bit too much "camp fire" for my taste.
These are good. Ellis Pauls "World Ain't Slowing Down" off the Me Myself & Irene soundtrack is a favourite track of mine, this feels like more of the same. I like.
