I'm not familiar with the Hartke, but I'd guess preamp out into the effects loop return.

    That's true.

I'm using Hartke 7000 as a power amp for my Fender TBP-1 pre. It works fine. Just plug the signal from your pre amp to the Hartkes effect return. By doing this you can still tweak your sound with Hartkes 10 band equalizer and contour controls. Hartkes own pre and compressor are bypassed.

I tried to hook up my zoom to the effects return on my amp and got nothing...hmmmm it works fine through the front.
maybe it can't be used as a preamp?

bump! really need advice on this one!

  7. I had the same experience with my zoom 607, it works fine through the front of my Hartke 3000 but won't work in my send pre or post. I don't have a lot of experience especially with a zoom box but had a fellow bass player take a look and had him scratching his head too. I read my 60 someodd page manual that didn't answer my question. Bump for some advice

It's an effects pedal... not designed to be a preamp (as far as i could tell by a quick look at the website).
