  1. The rental term on my 30 watt Mega amp ends next week and I am looking at the main offerings at 2 music stores:

    Yorkville BassMaster XM100C Bass Combo @ 100w,
    1 x 15 " speaker/200 watts
    Dimensions (DWH,inches) 13x17x20
    Weight @ 50.5 lbs
    Cost: $ 439.00 Cdn

    Fender Rumble 100 Combo @ 100w,
    1 x 15 '' speaker/150 watts
    1-High Frequancy Piezo Horn
    Dimensions: 13x21x25
    Weight @ 60 lbs
    Cost: $ 399 Cdn

If I decide on the Yorkville, that store may lower their price to meet the store selling the Fender. Might take a little arm twisting. Since I would be moving the amp around the house frequently, the weight of the Yorkville is a plus but I don't want to give up quality & performance. Any other amps these stores may have around 100 watts are much pricier. Suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.

You should check out the prices online. I know you could save yourself $25 CDN on the Rumble 100 if you buy it off such sites as http://www.music123.com or http://www.musicians friend.com. For the Yorkville you are getting a good deal, online they are about $465 CDN. Each are good. I say bring in YOUR OWN bass to the shop, and try them both out for about 1/2 hour - 1 hour and see which one serves you better.
