Hey Folks, I've been a 4 string player forever and need a backup axe in case I break a string. So, I went into Guitar Center to look for another 4 string. While I was in there I fell in love with an Ibanez 5 string. Do you think I should go for it..a 5 instead of another 4? I mean, how easy is it to play both 4 and 5 and always switching off? Thanks in advance.
If the necks comfortable. And you have use for either low B or high C string. Then concider the fiver if it sounds good for low B. Otherwise look at the 4 string version. Or another of the same bass you allready have. Since its a backup bass. Haveing two of same or pratically same bass can be ideal for backup one.
You might find going between the 4 and 5 a little difficult at first, but after a while you wont even notice. I'd say get it, you might end up wanting another 5 in the end.
