I have 600.00 to 800.00 to spend on a new bass of quality. Ive been playin for about 14 years, and believe it or not, ive never had a good bass. It is time. I recently returned a Toby Tobias to Musicyo - I just didnt like it much. SO now its up in the air again. There is so much out there that I am unsure now. I have played the new Peavey 6 strings, BTB's, and standard Ibanez. All feel ok, but im still unsure, I seen a wyung Yamaha 6 string that was cool, but its on the internet again, so i have no way of testing it out. Would you all be so kind as to hewlp me, and give me your opionon and experience of played basses. Why this is so difficult this time around, i dont know- it just is. Maybe cuz im accually gona spend some money this time.
well...for 700.00 you can get a basic 6 from Dave Pushic (www.dpcustom.com) Do a search, nothing but good on this guys work.
Hmm until I saw you were almost always looking at 6'ers I was going to suggest a Ric.. but then I guess that is just me trying to live out my dreams through you.. Hmm I know nothing about 6'ers except that Embellisher has a real nice one Other then that.. Hmm maybe a GT-7 gawd help me, I am actually starting to like those beasts.. I got to play one, and wow..
Made my descision-- went into music store today, and this deep purple quilted tiger eye top BTB was screaming out to me! I picked it up, and we were one it was like no other bass ive touched, i played and played and played as if my fingers were a part of the neck and strings. The most interesting fact of this journey is that I prayed for the right bass for me,One that would be one with me, Ive been playing and looking for about 2 months, This is exactly how I wanted it to happen, to pick that bass up and feel it mmold with me )) and The color purple is the color which stands for The Kings Of Kings! How COOL!I have found my new bass Ty for you r replies and help on this one )
