Please help to identify this pickup

    I found it inside an old Peavey Patriot bass but know it is not original to the bass. Thanks

    Looks like a Guild humbucker without the cover:

    This would explain why the pole-pieces are spaced tighter than the stock spacing of the Peavey. The adjusting screws match as do the oversized pole-pieces.

    Prescott Niles of The Knack took the covers off the Guild humbuckers of his M85 bass, and they have the same look (cream bobbins, one screw coil and those rectangular slugs on the other coil):

    On your Peavey the pickup ring looks homemade and aluminum! The obvious question is 'why?'??? And where is the poor Guild bass that gave up its pickup?
