Anyone have a clue?
Looks like a "Toby" import. Nice!
looks like a Toby
It sort of looks like it's of the "imported" persuasion.
It may very well be a "growler".
Toby from Korea or Japan IIRC.
I have a guy who wants my MIM Jazz V in trade for this thing ..
Is this a stupid trade? Given they didn't seem to make a ton of these Korean Toby's but a late 90's Fender is pretty common!
Not likely a Growler. I believe Growlers are US made, feature a single Bart humbucker, and usually (maybe always?) come in a natural finish.
+1 to a Toby.
It's a Toby Deluxe, which was a Korean import.
Right, there was a Deluxe model and a custom model.
Thanks for the clarification.
Toby Deluxe. I own one and it's been my main player since 2000! There was a Deluxe (bolt-on/J pups) and a Pro (neck through/humbuckers) model sold exclusively on the www.musicyo.com website. They are no longer being produced since Tobias restarted production on their higher end line built in the USA! Still pretty good instruments with the preamp being the sole sore spot! Here's a pic of me playing it.
Thanks everyone !
