I saw it the other night in a film called George Wallace and flipped out. I thought some guy built it in his garage in the 70's or something (got it in a pawn shop in Denver covered in rust and dust) and there is no brand name on mine or the one in the movie.
I tried to upload photos, but the files are too large. There are pictures of me with the bass at www.myspace.com/beaulandry (click on the picture and a bunch more will pop up).
If anybody knows ANYTHING about this bass, it would be greatly appretiated.

I can't get any of the pic's on MySpace to open up. There are a million variations of a JAZZ bass. Ibanez, Kingston, Hondo, Univox, and on and on! Each had little distinctions that you could look at and say "That's the one"

The thing about my bass I had never seen before is the chrome soap-bar pickups. They have a really interesting sound and I can get more harmonics out of them than any bass I've played. Plus, they look cool! :)
Unfortunately the E string is really quiet compared to the other strings. :(
