so a couple of months back, i bought myself a bass POD XT live, and it sounded good, but trying to adjust the thing to my settings sent me running for the hills (that was in august...:meh:)

so basically, i dont know anything about how to customize it. i want to be able to go to a preset, change what amp/cab/effects/EQ it has, name it, save it, and learn how to navigate around to what preset i want to use.

i tried the search function, but a billion things came up, none of which seemed to explain what i was looking for...and the manual was vague and marginally helpful, at best

so, if anyone could explain it to me, or could direct me somewhere where i might learn to really use it, id be very appreciative...

  2. I've owned mine for almost 2 years now. I haven't saved any personal presets yet. :eyebrow: I just never got around to taking the time needed to figure it out. I usually take a preset and tweak it until it sounds good, but never bother to save it because I don't play out live.

Here is a link the the Line6 forum for the Bass pods. At least you should be able to get some of your questions answered. Good Luck!

wow...i wouldve never guessed that anyone could love line 6 as much as...well, TBers love TB :D:D:D

speaking of which...i have a friend (a g**tarist, but hes okay anyway :D) who LOVES line 6, and has a guitar effects board thats laid out almost exactly like the POD XT live (but its not a pod...) and he has everything tweaked exactly the way he likes it... so ill probably see if he can help me out.

but any other links like the line 6 forum would help!

You can also use the Line 6 Edit feature to tweak and save your settings.
You'll have to download the program from the Line 6 site and then using the USB plug your xt Live into your computer. It makes editing a little easier especially if you've already tweaked the board and saved the tweaked settings.

I have to admit it is an addictive process, but well worth the time if you're so inclined.
Also, I found the user's manual worthwhile, albeit somewhat vague in spots, however it does lay out for you what you have, what you can use realiably and what you may want to tweak to your own specifications.

    It is an awesome tool.
