Please post some 3+1 Headstocks

    I know I've seen at least one bass around here with a 3 + 1 tuning key setup on the headstock. I was wondering if you could post some pics? Thanks!

    It has been said many times here that Ernie Ball/ Music Man owns the rights to the 3+1 headstock design, and so it therefor cannot be copied. I just did patent searches on "Ernie Ball" and on "Music Man" and it didn't turn up, though. It could be under Fender though, something that Leo brought with him.

    That's very interesting. I had never heard that. Thanks for the info!

    I've decided I like the standard 4 in line better for anything other than the distinct Musicman look.
     
  6. I once butchered a precision style headstock into a slim triangle shape and went for a 3+1 setup.

    I wouldn't recomend it tho... :meh: looked most uncool

    I want a music man bad!
