That true. I have no idea what I've let myself in for... I'm gonna tune it so that no matter what I play, it sounds like "Cold Sweat".

Im not a fan of 12 strings, but that doesnt matter as long as you are :) asusming you are...

It looks nice, that many strings scares me though. I only like 4 and 5 strings. 6 are ok but i dont like them. and ocne u get into doubling up strings, i dont like em very much.

(Even if they are a pain in the nuts to tune!)

I once had impure thoughts. Oh, and I pluck my ear hair.
Galvestons are are ubiquitous as, dare I say, Johnsons on ebay it seems.

you're aware that that's not a 3 octave neck on that bass, right? it's only got 27 frets.

Yeah. I always file desciptions like that in the same box with 'Pro-Quality' and 'Powerful 15-watt amp'. What caught my eye was '12-string bass'. We don't get that many odd instruments around here in the music stores. (Pawn shops, sometimes, but not often). The only way I'm gonna get to try some of these things is get them on the cheap. I've see some serious exotics,(here at TB) but I can't afford them. (especially if I end up not liking it). Ebay is a good (but risky) way to get these toys. I'm coming off a 13-year retirement from music and don't really know where I'm headed from here, but these cheap weirdos help keep the interest up and the fingers nimble. (Besides, where would keep the extra octave, if it did have 3?).
    :) :)

Well, besides dealing with 'ring rust', I've got to get my public performance nerves back. So be it! It should be here by next week. I'll post something within two weeks. ( I work better under pressure anyhow.) :bassist:
