  1. I cant figure out to to tune this damned thing into other tunings besides half step down and and drog d. Its a Korg GA-30 bass/guitar tuner. It has a flat button that drops the tuning down but i do not know what tuning it puts it into and it does not say in the manual. The only indicators it has are Low B, E, A, D, G, High C. That is all it ever indicates at one of those 6 markers and i am totally unsure of how many times i hit falt to tune it down. I can hit the flat button five times before it resets also. If anyone knows what tunings each of these flats indicate are plz help me!. I know the first is one half step down.
  2. each one is a further half step down!

"Quinta Flat Tuning mode -- a world-wide first!
The GA-30’s Quinta Flat Tuning mode supports the lowered tunings used in heavy metal styles to give more weight to the sound. Until now, dedicated guitar tuners have supported a maximum of only four semitones below standard pitch, but the GA-30 gives you five steps of flatted tuning, extending as far as five semitones below standard pitch, and supporting even super-long scale guitars that are five frets longer than conventional guitars."

whats more fun that messing with a tuner is tuning the top (highest pitch) string to a known pitch, then tune the rest of the instrument by ear....
  3. I've got the GA-20 model, and it is similar with the flats.

Just think of two flats as a whole step. Ebb is a D, and Ebbbb is a C.
