Police tribute gig

Discussion in 'Miscellaneous [BG]' started by 5s_tring freak, Jun 14, 2001.

  1. Me and my band have just scored a "Police" tribute gig in two weeks. We will be playing "Message in a bottle", "Cant Stand Losing You", "Walking on the moon", "Synchronicity II", "King of Pain", and "Every Breath you take".

I play these sonds without a pick, but just to get an authentic "Sting" sound, I have been comtemplating playing these with a pick. I can play them fine without one and it sounds good. Also, many musicians I know reckon that I should play with a pick.

Any suggestions on what I should do?
  2. Yup.... Make a decision!

And anyway, as it appears from reading your post that there is no difference in tone, why would you switch to pick? Because someone else wants you to?
