after all my ranting and raving about this bass, i'm on the fence about returning it to GC.

my 30th day will be on the 8th of Feb.

the ONLY reason is financial. BUT, with another house refi looming, this may become moot.

    so, what doya tink?

she's a player. and i've heard the Geddy's sound and play even better over time.

but, do i really need a 5th bass. with more basses coming?

the GL will be my only fender. other than my strat.

    what's a boy to do?

oh, and Nino, i know i offered this up, but, you'd probably get a better deal used. especially since i can get a full refund from GC. hope you understand.

    hehe, yes it DO!

    and for $200 less.

oh man, now i'm thinking about keeping it AND adding a J-Retro.

i think i may replace the SS strings with some nickel round rotosounds first.

WORD! Hey, JT's got 40 bazillion string on about 3 bazillion basses over there. I don't think you keeping one measly little 4 string will hurt anything! :D
And No, Fred it doesn't EVER end. Unfortunately, I'm finding this out when I'm young and it's the reason I stay poor.

Man, do I know that feeling. I'm hating my gas bill right now. It's all that's standing between me and a modded Essex P-bass (the would-be fourth in my growing arsenal).
  10. My gas is growing - see what happens when you learn more about the bass world?

At least my instrument gas is covered..m...mmmm.... grabbaarrr.....mmm...

    keep it !!

You could alway sell the uh... six string thing...you know, they're kinda like basses but smaller and wimpier and not as much fun...;)

yeah i gotta agree with polly, keep the piece. 5 basses aren't even close to enough. i've got 15 basses and i wanna buy more. in fact i have a 1970 maple \black block fender jazz bass and it's a great licking stick. it's got that famous jazz bass tone, so?

I'll be the lone dissenter...return it!

If you are really considering taking it back...do it. Especially if you paid the regular GC price and could go back in a week (or a day) and buy it again if you changed your mind.

If you've been raving about the bass but suddenly it feels like the honeymoon is over...follow your heart and take it back.

Think I've been through this??? Uh huh...

I went wild at GC last October and bought 5 basses in one week. I ended up taking 3 of them back but the remaining two have become favorites. I got tremendous deals on all 5 but after having a long dialogue with myself, I chose the instruments that motivated me to play things that I wouldn't have otherwise.

Assuming $$$ aren't the issue, it's very much an emotional thing. Follow your heart.

    Good luck!!!!
