There may have already been a poll for this but...
Which (generally) is the best Fender bass?
people say that the jazz is the most duplicated and most owned bass out there. so i'd say either the jazz or the p.
I don't know about the "best". but i personally feel more satisfied playing a Jazz then a P bass... I haven't tried many older Fenders though, so this is just between the Jazz and P for me.
The Jazz is winning. Who'd of thunk it??
jazz all the way!
no such thing
Jazz, by far
Jazz. Although I do sense a '51 P "sting style" bass in my future. Warmoth has the parts, and I'd be interested in building one. I like the way they sound.
For me it's the Jazz.
For me it is a jazz. I love my jazz basses either as 4 or 5 strung they are great. There was a thread once about"Is a P or Jazz bass better?" and some one posted this really good view on the basses i thought i would share.
"A P-Bass is your wife, a little round and just sits down and lays down the law with the fat tone, and the jazz bass is the little girl you've got on the side with the nice curves."
it was soemthing along those lines.
My longtime favorite has been the P-bass, but I have to give props to the Roscoe Beck Signature 5 that was not listed in the poll.
"the bass so nice I bought it twice"
Please, jazz bass's where made for people who couldn't handle a P bass.
Sorry your wrong, they were made for people who could afford more than a p-bass
If I could have only one bass, it'd be my walnut P Special.
Fender Jazz Bass Custom Shop the others are imitations
how about the Jazz Bass Plus?
my favorite jazz:
that was good......................................so good it almost made me want to play a jazz bass. Then I thought but there is no neck to play AH!!
