I voted "other", because it would be easier to ask which one I dislike. I love all genres of music, but this "neu-metal" crap, I can't get into.
As this poll does not relate to a specific recording or recordings, I will shoot this over to "Miscellaneous." Bop
Like Woodchuck I honestly can't say that I have a "favorite" style of music. I guess the two I like the least are country and polka.
Same here. I do not have every genre in my CD collection, but I can find quality in any kind of music, especially live (assuming it's done reasonably well). Yep, that includes techno, country, opera, rap/hip-hop, extreme metal, punk, even disco and pop.
New Wave, both American & British (gee, can you tell?) Power Pop and so-called Post-Punk (Joy Division, Psychedelic Furs) Just about anything from around 1977 'til around 1985.
I don`t like ANY style. It`s the bands that I dig into. If funk is played well, I like it. If funk is not played well, I don`t like it. etc. etc. Music styles suck.
Progressive metal, and progressive rock. And anything highly complicated, very orchestral, symphonical and stuff. From beautiful acoustic folk melodic to aggressive speed-metal.
I voted "other" coz I'm into Grunge. I wanted to vote New metal but I hate all that Limp Bizkit, P.O.D, Papa Roach, ect. crap, but I love the founders of New Metal: KoRn.
I voted for funk, because I like the groove it has. However I also like other styles as well. Hey and where is the Alternative and Industrial options.
Definitely Jazz. I don't think anyone here likes only one kind of music, but, for me whenever I hear any kind of Jazz it almost stops me in my tracks; almost like it's got a hold on me. No other style does that to me. Mike J.
. Nope. Altrought nobody calls them nu-metal bands, acutally Primus (wierdness), Kyuss (low sound) and Pantera (intensity) created nu metal.
Kyuss are awesome. Most people classify them as stoner rock. I dont agree though. this poll is too limited. what about PUNK?! later -wilks
I like...wait no....I like....hang on! I like what sounds good. My latest obsession is Muse. Is that progressive rock?
