I am looking into getting an Avatar 2X10 to replace or supplement my SWR 2X10. I am debating whether to sell the SWR and buy a 4 ohm 2x10, or add an 8 ohm Avatar 2X10, which would give me 2 2X10 cabs. I am bi-amping a Hartke 5000, and would use the Avatar on the high end. I have a WM 1X15 on the low end.

    Ok...so I guess 2 8ohm 2X10' are better than 1 4 ohm 2x10. Definitely bigger, that's for sure ;)

  3. Keep the SWR WM 2X10 and add an 8 ohm Avatar 2X10. Keep all your gear, and have fun adding more!

I'm not an Ampeg fan but after this weekend I would steer you towards an Ampeg 4 10 cab. The one I played through this weekend was awesome and not mine of corse. As I'm also not a fan of playing without at least a 15" for the bottom, this set up sounded great. The head was some big ass Peavey with tons of knobs on it (also not a big fan of Peavey).

Yeah, I have heard good things as well about the Ampegs. Out of my price range, unfortunately. :(
The Avatar is a steal at $199 :D
