I hear a wierd poping noise ocasionaly when I touch the strings on my squier p-bass special, the noise is comparable to static electricity, it only happens when I touch certain strings in certain places and even then It doesnt happen to often, but I was just wondering like...WHAT'S UP WITH THAT MAN? And can anyone recommend some good pickups?(1 p and 1 j on this bass)Cause I want new ones dangit(the j buzzezzzzzz like....something that buzzezzzz alot. ya.)

  2. It could be that your strings are not properly grounded.

There's a wire under the bridge that leads into the control cavity. Check if that one is loose or broken.

  5. If you are touching your strings to the pup than that would most likely be it.
