    Hello folks,

I'm playing the double bass for a year now and did some things to my setup to make it all sound great but I still have some problems when slapping. When slapping it makes a popping sound. It's definitely from the bridge element, I already tested that. When I use a bigger speaker (15") it's less annoying but still hearable.

I play with a FWF piezo element at the bridge and some cheap Ebay pickup for slap. The bridge element goes to a Fishman Platinum preamp with DI. From DI to mixer. Slap directly to mixer. From mixer to speaker and PA (4x10", 1x15", 1x12", whatever is available).

Using the equalizer on the Fishman makes things a little better but not yet there. Anybody tips?
