I got the slapping part of the slap/pop tech. but when it comes to pop then...

like i slap then pop and the note before the pop is funny coz when i pop, isnt it like stick your index finger in and out of the string and the end of the hand (the side with the lil finger) makes the sound funny stop half way or sth coz u are ready for the pop during the slap.
Like Slap Pop is how it shud be but its Sla??(mute like thingy) Pop.
  2. Well, if I'm understanding your mangled English right, you're rotating your hand after the slap, in preperation for the pop, and inadvertantly muting the string you had just slapped. Is that right?

The answer is that yes, as you've found, this can happen. It doesn't have to though: you can alter your pop to move away from the bass rather than rotating your hand, or you can pop more with your finger than your whole hand.
