Portable uprights?

    Has anyone played one of those "thin" uprights (the ones that have full sized tops and backs but are like 6 inches top to back). It seems like a good idea but Im wondering if they have a thin sound too. Thanks, Dana

    They sound fine through an amp. The ones I've played had an OK sound acoustically, but put out almost no volume. I suspect that you could likley keep up with a nylon-string guitar...
