Whatever location would cost the least for me...

I'm working on paying back my parents for what they loaned me when I was hurt. And then I have a couple of you TB'ers to pay back too.

I nominate Mississippi. 100 degrees with 95% humidity, what's not to like. We can even visit the music store in Starkville and play all two basses.

  6. I second that idea! Although I've never seen a hobbit playing bass...

Ya'll should attach ALL your pedals together and make the ultimate pedal board. Maybe even call up the Guiness Book of World Records. Seriously.

the way this threads going it's not looking like we'll be having the GTG. The Effects Bassists here at TB are a little odder than the rest of TB. Spend some time in a bunch of FX threads and you'll catch on real quick.

The pedals have stolen our sanity.

on that note has anyone jammed with other bassists before... I don't think I have... I think it could be cool! Not like I've ever seen videos of victor wooten and steve bailey jamming...

Oh God... the amount of cabling that would be required... not to mention the number of signal boosters involved :scowl:

i have, a few times. it can be cool, but it gets muddy. one takes a lead role, the other takes rhythm/harmony. effects are essential, of course.

what's more fun is jamming with two (or more) great drummers. you just have to be reallyREALLY loud... which is All Good. :):bassist::)

Mark, I would love a GTG, but for many of us, it's just not in the cards right now.

Maybe we can get a list of people who would seriously consider buying a plane ticket at around.... one of the NAMM shows. We could all meet and the go to NAMM when they open to the public. That'd be a 2-fer trip, thus making it more worth the money for the ticket. How about Winter Namm?

2008 Winter NAMM is going to be located in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center. Going on from January 17-20th. It's about a one-block walk from Disneyland, and about a 30 minute drive for me. :D
