Might I ask, what is the point of the Skewed frets? Any particular reason to have them like that? Or merely for show?

That is the Novax Fanned Fret system. The bass is a Dingwall. I have a 6 string Dingwall coming that should be here in 3 weeks. The scale length varies by 3/4" between adjacent strings. Thus it is 37" B, 36.25" E, 35.5" A, 34.75" D, 34" G and 33.25" C. The idea is to get the optimum tone and tension on each string.

i had a question about that sweet bass, how can you bend a string and keep the right pitch and a good sound on that thing?
my thought is that as you bend it the fret is becoming closer to your finger due to the fanned frets. maybe im an idiot
