Here's my two...one 5L, one Brad Houser 5...
Here's mine. Faux blue wood finish.
Chef comes through, just like he said he would! Thanks man.
Dang, those are cool looking basses. Very cool. I like the light blue one. That dark blue one that Funky has is killer too. I may have to explore the possibility of getting one.
I'm still kicking myself for not getting a Brad Houser five. :scowl:
Funky: I like the blue fauzx much better than I thought I would
MJ: but of coourse
Fuzz: a nice lavaswirl BH5 sold on ebay earlier this week, they're still out there...
I'll post a picture soon of my 5L. It's black with a silver guard, and a rosewood board. I love it.
Here's my Lava Swirl 5L from the last batch.
Here's my 1st generation Brad, in Lava...
Here is the Lava Swirl BH 5 I just sold
The funds were reinvested into the 'Post pics of your Stingrays' thread....
Todd: watched that one go on ebay...did it go to someone here?
Just got my brand new 5L from the closeout sale a couple weeks ago. Turquoise with black pg, maple board. No pics yet, still hiding it from the wife....
Not to derail but a quick question... I'm not liking the stock (SIT) strings - anyone have any suggestions? Looking for greater tension, a more aggressive tone, but not bright. Also the bridge doesn't seem to have a lot of room for intonation adjustment. What are y'all using, tapered, flats, ...?
Initial impressions: love the weight and balance, like the string spacing, comfortable neck, very good overall playability. Looks very cool. I'm skeptical about the pickup placement. The extra 1" on the scale isn't bothering me.
I was looking forward to seeing pics of that one on the Reverend website, but it sold before the pics ever got posted.
I found that I like the SIT strings. I had been using Ken Smith's on my old five, but after putting D'Addario XL's on my four string Rumblefish, I wanted nickels for the five as well. XL's don't come in a guage I want for the 5 string, so I was looking for a new brand.
Enjoy your fish!!
