Ok. Here's a picture of the "Funk Machine", my '69 P-Bass. It's heavily modified, with an added Jazz pickup, an extra volume knob, a 3-way toggle switch and the medium frets were replaced with jumbo ones.

    Collectible value: Zero.

Value as a musical instrument: Priceless.

    And here's a close-up.

  4. Oh, Wow, Spike that is a very tasty looking bass...

I don't have any pics up of my current basses, so here's a view or two of my former '64 jazz bass(I no longer have it. I sold it a couple of months back).

That's not so clear, I know...but this of the headstock is a bit better.

Great kudos to anyone who works out what's wrong with the headstock!

This was Memorial Day, which was an all-Fender gig. I think I'll be putting the '79 maple fretless in the background up for sale soon, if anyone is interested. I'm keeping that nice Elite II I'm playing in the photo.

Since that photo, I received the Hoyt five string fretted, below:

Man, you guys are making me dizzy! Ummm, Brad, exactly HOW MANY do you have? Love the old L-2000 and that GREEN one! Before jamming up the bandwidth, since I've posted mine before, let me know if you want to see my vintage (ahem...sorta beat) basses, both past and present:
1963 Epiphone Embassy (owned by both Tom Petersson AND Jon Brandt of Cheap Trick)
    1964 Fender P-bass
    1980 G&L L-1000
    1966 Epiphone Newport
    Guild M-85

After looking at all of yours...I think I need to sit down...head swimming....vision blurring....djuqfdkngqae'rfna

I have 10, just got the Lakland and the red 5 string Jazz-type and sold a TRB6II and G&L SB1, the two of them covered the cost of the Lakland ($1500). I enjoy the hunt and only keep what I really like. I love the old G&L, too:D

I tallied what I have spent on all of my bass gear, it's actually less than what JT has in his double-neck:D I'm sure he's as happy with his arsenal as I am with mine, I do feel lucky, most of the deals I come across are downright silly. Right place + right time + financially ready = too much (?) gear:D

I hadn't thought about bandwidth, G, I've got a cable modem so it hasn't been an issue. Somebody let me know if I should just pull the pictures and put in a link to Photopoint.com. I'd like to see your basses, especially the Epi's.
